Padre Mike Umoh’s Committee of Friends invited guests to the launch of his book, Enhancing Communication in the Parish Community: A Practical Handbook for Pastoral Communication, commissioned by the Knights of St. John International, Nigeria.

The launch was set for Wednesday 3 December 2025, 1pm to 3pm, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Maryland. Very Rev. Fr. Theodore Martinos was named Chief Host and Chief Unveiler, and Very Rev. Fr. Melvis Mayaki the book reviewer.

Archbishop Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji, President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria, wrote that with pastoral sensitivity and theological rigour Fr. Umoh has translated the Church’s principles into everyday parish practice. Bishop Emmanuel Badejo called the book a valuable contribution to pastoral communication today.
